As a child, my greatest occupational desire was to be a defense lawyer like my late grandfather, Jack Carlisle. Life has a funny way of changing our plans. Instead, I attended Mississippi State University and graduated with a BS in English Education and an MA in English. I have taught as an instructor at both the University and Community College Level. I have also taught secondary education. Recently, I took a plunge of faith, managing this business full-time. Although I have always had a flair for writing, I've never really used it to earn a living, other than teaching writing courses. I soon figured out that writing teachers turn out to be the best editors, proofreaders, and copy writers. They practice these skills dailly, and so these skills fit like a worn pair of house shoes. I live in Tupelo, Mississippi with my husband Craig who is a PTA (physical therapist assistant). We work out together and spoil our 2 dogs, Rudy and Rebel. Rudy is a Miniature Schnauzer and Rebel is a Boxer. I've written countless online articles, and I'm currently working on my first novel.
