Resume writers are in high demand in today’s day and age because there are so many people that are looking for jobs. In order to create a good resume you need to have good writing skills and not everyone does. You also need to know what employers are looking for in a resume. If you do the research to find out what employers are looking for today you could start your own business making resumes for job searchers.

You can charge anywhere upwards of $25/hour to write a resume for someone else and more if you are also providing them with a cover letter. Learn the different types of resumes, the different writing styles that are preferred by employers, and learn the keywords that employers are looking for. With knowledge like that you are already more prepared to write a resume than the common job seeker.

After you have prepared yourself, make a few resumes for friends. Tell them that the only thing you want in return is for them to tell everyone they know about your service. Pretty soon, people will be asking you to create their resume and you’ll have the beginning of a nice little business.
