I have just started transcription with a company called Quicktate. You don’t make a great deal of money off of this website but you have the potential to move on to the higher earning company if your transcriptions are accurate and quick. You do not have to have previous experience. Most of the transcriptions are voice mails that you convert to texts. Most require less than 120 words per text. It does not require any equimpment except for your computer. A nice pair of headphones actually work better than just listening to the transcriptions over the speakers off of the computer but are not required. The waiting list is a bit long. Once you sign up it takes several months for a response. You are paid via paypal twice a month. You do have to keep track of your own word count in order to know what to expect on your bi-monthly checks. It is a nice little extra income for me. However, you will not be able to support yourself just off of being a quicktater!
