Advertising Newsletters

If you love to write, and if you are aspiring to become a published author, the best place to share your talent is at home, and in your neighboring cities and towns.

One of the easiest and least expensive forms of advertising is by publishing your very own newsletter.  You can market yourself, by writing about your business and sharing it with your neighbors and friends.

I publish a newsletter(Stepping It Up!) twice a month promoting my books and cd’s which are being sold online.  I also share my poetry and recipees for free. This gives my readers only a taste of what my little business is about, and leaves them hungering for more. In other words, it peaks their curiousity.

The best places to distribute your free newsletter will be the Mom and Pop businesses in your area.  Give them some free advertising space for two months as long as they allow you to leave copies of your newsletters in their place of business.  Not only are they supporting your business, but you are supporting their business as well. This is just another way of putting their business on the streets.

The only overhead that you will accumulate will be for the ink, and paying for the printing. Unless, of course, you have your very own color printer, or black and white printer.

This is what I do on the side to promote my online radio stations (wpwcradio.com), and my online e-book publishing company (ASTEPUP Publications). I have accumulated a larger listening audience for my radio stations, and more book orders, by using this method.

Go for whatever works for you!
